The first new Satan and Adam album in 12 years is now available for immediate download: www.tradebit.com WORD ON THE STREET, recorded in 1989 on the streets of Harlem and Jersey City, contains 14 tracks of original and traditional material, all transformed into gritty street funk-blues by Satan and Adam (Sterling Magee and Adam Gussow). ***By the way: the harmonica that I’m playing in this video is a Genesis custom-tuned Marine Band, remanufactured by Randy Sandoval. My apologies to Randy, who generously donated this fine harp to my YouTube cause. What can I say? I’m an absent-minded professor: www.genesisharmonicas.net

Jack White plays some blues on the piano!

Jack White explains his philosophy about today’s music and plays a short, but awesome piano version of “Sittin’ On Top Of The World”. The clip is from the documentary “It Might Get Loud”. I got a lot of requests for the piano chords of the song. Unfortunately I am not able to transcribe it myself. If anyone can and is willing to share it, message so I can post it here. You will get full credit for your work of course. The chords must cover the whole song (including the mini solo). It’s not hard since it’s a classic blues progression, so a trained ear will find easy to figure it out. I would prefer you to send it in standard notation (with both hands), but any other method is accepted as long as it’s clear:) I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING.

        Neil Young – Vampire Blues

Neil Young (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and film director. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 1995 and also as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997. Young’s work is characterized by deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and signature tenor singing voice. Although he accompanies himself on several different instruments—including piano and harmonica, his clawhammer acoustic guitar style and often idiosyncratic electric guitar soloing are the linchpins of a sometimes ragged, sometimes polished sound. Although Young has experimented widely with differing music styles, including swing, jazz, rockabilly, blues, and electronic music throughout a varied career, his best known work usually falls into either of two distinct styles: acoustic folk/country (“Heart of Gold”, “Harvest Moon” and “Old Man”) and electric-charged hard rock (like “Cinnamon Girl”, “Rockin’ in the Free World” and “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)”). In recent years, Young has adopted elements from newer styles like industrial, alternative country and grunge. Young’s profound influence on the latter caused some to dub him “the Godfather of Grunge”. ________________________________________ I’m a vampire, babe, suckin’ blood from the earth I’m a vampire, baby, suckin’ blood from the earth. Movie recorded at a concert in Compiegne, France in February 2010. Mike Sanchez is a Rhythm and Blues singer, pianist and songwriter of Spanish-English heritage. He is widely known for his work with the Big Town Playboys and Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, and also for his highly-successful solo career. He is highly-acclaimed for his authenticity to the work of post-war blues shouters and piano players. “Down the Road Apiece” is a song written in 1940 by Don Raye as a boogie woogie for the Will Bradley/Ray McKinley big band. The best versions of this song are always played with a true ‘swing’ feel and Mike and the Band certainly achieve that ‘feel-good-swing’ factor here – brilliantly!! ——————————————————————— Official Website : www.mikesanchez.com
