I show my transcription of the piano blues that David Sprunger plays in the intros to his keyboard blues course. I then transform (transnotate) the music into my alternative notation “Express Stave” – within the free Finale NotePad 2006 application. Lastly I play the piece on the piano. Hope you enjoy! I will send this file to anyone who asks nicely. Click on my username “ExpressStaveNotation” (above), and you will see there is an option to Send Message. Also, as i have now sent hundreds of these out to people, I would like to request that you guys do something for me in return – look at my LATEST videos and rate/comment! Thanks.
Bluesy brass instruments on stage here, folks! Had the great opportunity to play some tuba blues with Mats Johnsson. I love this instrument, if you ask me it’s THE coolest bass instrument around, hehe.. Hopefully we’ll get some chances to do some gigs together in the future!
Me and my friends found us an old vintage Chevy!!! 1931 is the year and it’s an amazing car/truck, felt great to play some tunes on it!! We took some pics for use on CD covers and posters, so of course we had to tune our instruments and play!! The mando is truly a “note-cannon”… I play without picks here and it’s not easy to be heard next to a reso-mandolin, haha!!!! More trio-info here: www.johaneliasson.com
A cool, loud and not too shiny reso-mando, folks!!! Perfect for the blues, strong tone that cuts through easily.. It goes very well with my other resonator instruments and my blues, been meaning to have some mandolin tunes on my repertoire! A mandolin from Republic Guitars in Texas.. Played here by Lars Åstrand. Mandolian Specifications: Steel body… 1 7/16″ bone nut… ebony capped maple saddle… adjustable trussrod… shell position markers… mahogany neck… rosewood fretboard… handspun Continental cone… 15 1/4″ scale length.. pearlized veneer headstock… reso-relic finish.

This is the sound of the desperation bound By our own collision We are the voice of breaking down The static comes alive Beneath the broken skies John Perkins said it right Love is the final fight Let it rise above Rise above There is no song Louder than love This is the sound of a heartbeat this is the sound from the discontented mouths of a haunted nation we are the voice of breaking down Can you hear me?
