Moody Blues – Nights In White Satin (From “Live at Montreux 1997″)
For more info – www.eagle-rock.com The Moody Blues were formed in Birmingham in the early sixties and were immediately successful, going to No.1 with their second single Go Now. As the sixties progressed their music evolved into a more lush, psychedelic sound and with the arrival of Justin Hayward and John Lodge the classic line up came together and produced the masterpiece Days Of Future Passed, which contained their classic hit single Nights In White Satin and Tuesday Afternoon. This propelled the band to a new level of success which they have sustained ever since.

Many thank´s for sharing this masterpiece!
This is truly Amazing
The garbage that is out today shouldnt even be considered music let alone be allowed to be heard, when you have such beautiful songs in the world as “Nights in White Satin” and such legendary bands as the Moody Blues still in existence
Is a very good performance, thank you
On the album: “Days of future past” < there was naration
@ed2950 they should be in the hall of music
best of the best
plant071
best of the best.
i went through a whole trip listening to the album, then when the album ended I thought, sheesh I got 18 hours to go LOL back in the 70s Great album
I can barely stand it that they aren’t in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I can’t stop thinking about it. I think I need to start a petition, I don’t know how this happened….makes me hate the RaRHoF…..and think they are incompetent.
Excellent live version of an all time classic. I caught them live the same year at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, great gig. Very professional band with a fine body of work.
I saw them today in Montreal, Canada, Brilliant Performance, stand-up ovation after EACH song, and it was 100% deserved, I don’t see that often.
Yep Legend…reminds of school lol xx
you could really trip to this music in the day
Listening to the Moody B lues never gets old!
He’s got some voice.
Been a long time since I have heard this song. A favorite!
this is rock-n-roll baby
I have to agree with all of you…how can a group like the Moodies NOT be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame..Complete disgrace. Look at some of the other “so called bands” in the Hall; they can’t even wipe the sweat off Justin Heyward’s brow!!
I had the distinct privelege of seeing them perform in Reno in 1986. They blew the audience away with their depth, raw imagery, and unrivaled talent. I love you, Moody Blues, and I thank you!
The Moody Blues, my favorite Band and favorite piece of music. Nights in White Satin is timeless. And like the band simply timeless. Violetrod couldn’t have said it better. The Universe should be thankful for the Moody Blues. When I die, you guessed it, my song, Nights in White Satin. My son died tragically, and so unfortunately before me. yes, the song was there. And will be there for me. The Moody Blues! The greatest orchestrational rock in roll band in human history!
fantastic
mashallah opo, walang kamatayan ang awitin na ito sana makarating pa kayo ng Pilipinas
awesome
My favorite Mood Blues song. I think this was definitely their masterpiece!!!
I am not dissing the Moody blues, but seriously….. if a “knight in white satin” came to rescue me I would have a couple of issues.
