jazz or blues songs without a musical interlude?

I need to add a section to a jazz or blues song as an assessment and the only thing I can think of doing is adding a different chord progression with a scat over the top. but where to put it? i have no idea! so i was thinking a musical interlude in a jazz song. But all the ones i’ve heard they’ve already got one. know any songs?
