I currently am taking a blues vocals class at my college and I am required to find a 12 bar blues song. But I need it to be a female vocalist as I need to "mentor" from her for myself. I understand that 12 bar blues is also used in other genres, but I need real Blues songs. Can you help?
Other info: I’m an alto, my comfort range is from D3 to G5.

hey,guys,i’m a beginner blues-lover and i’m gonna make a band, but i haven’t listened to blues much.
could you suggest me some blues/blues-rock songs that most blues bands play when they start, or songs most famous to be played on guitar.
i know that boom boom is the great one to start.
i would appreciate if you write a list of ten.
thanx

Hello,
I’ve been asked to attend a musical social evening and I feel I don’t have enough material.
I’m looking for some Jazz blues, blues, blues Country, Rockabilly skiffle or jug band songs.
I’ve got Tom Waits, the Smart Brothers, The Mountain Goats, and Ralph McTell under my belt as an example of what I’m doing just now.
Any Ideas?

Instrumental, I don’t want any lyrics. I need some songs for a project I’m making.
Preferably something (really) calm, not "energetic".

I’m working in a blueberry field and I think that some blues songs would…motivate me?
Here’s an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IjJ524l49Y
Green Onions by Booker T & the MG’s
Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAfYCuOtgQg
